VISITED: The Kirtland Temple

The Kirtland temple was the first temple dedicated in the Latter Days. Now a national historic landmark, the temple is owned by the Community of Christ.



VISITED: Kirtland LDS Visitors Center

Joseph Smith's first visit to Kirtland, Ohio led him to the Newel K Whitney store where he bacame friends with Newel. He held many classes in the upper room.

TOTAL DISTANCE: We drove 610 from Nauvoo to Kirtland.
